Concept of the Tokyo E&I Center

  • Function as an open connector for the Tokyo entrepreneurship ecosystem
  • Promote new ventures combining science, engineering, and management
  • Meet Japan-specific needs: encourage entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship

Activities and services are organized around four “hubs”:

E&I Education Hub

Provides lectures, classes, workshops, and special seminars for Tokyo University of Science students, professors, alumni, and outside guests

E&I Research Hub

Promotes a network for researchers studying innovation and entrepreneurship in Japan, collaborating with other universities in Japan and around the world

E&I Networking Hub

Matches “seeds” and “needs” with networking events such as periodic conferences and meetings for high-tech investors, startup weekends for entreprenuers, and business plan competitions

E&I Nurturing Hub

Provides mentoring and expert services, and venture acceleration space, to link entrepreneurs with experienced advisors, faculty experts in IP & management, and corporate partners, managed through the Tokyo University of Science University Research Administration (URA).
